Josh joined Tomsic PT in July 2018 after graduating with his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University. We like to joke that Josh completed a 12 week interview as he completed his last 12 week clinical internship in our clinic before taking his licensing examination. He has been working in orthopedic physical therapy settings since 2010 in both Tennessee and Colorado before entering graduate school to become a clinician. Josh’s primary focus as a Physical Therapist is helping active people, athletes and “weekend warriors” alike return to participating in the active lifestyle Durango has to offer.
Josh’s educational background and achievements include the following:
- Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science, minor in Psychology from Fort Lewis College in 2012
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee
Josh and his wife Mandy enjoy the Durango outdoor lifestyle through cycling, skiing, hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing. He often will be seen riding his bike up CR 250 as his passion for road cycling has evolved from recreation to competition, including competing collegiately for the Fort Lewis College Cycling Team. Josh’s family also includes his dog Pepper, and two cats Bananas and Pajamas.
